UMS 40 TOP version of Pike Precision F3B & F3F

Currently there is no way of improving the
performance of F3B and F3F model significantly by any new aerodynamical design.
There is however an option to improve the structural compostition of materials.
Therefore we have laid up a new version where we managed to increase stiffness
of the complete model and decrease the weight. This is done by use of hi-tech
materials and adjustments in the production technology. From the business point
of view it might be better to introduce a new model every year with changed
design. But the performance of the model would be similar and that would not be
fair to our customers.
Stiffness (resistance to twisting and bending of single model parts) is the most
important for a model flying speed with turns. Every bending or twisting of a
model in flight works like drag that can substantially influence the reached
altitude after start or final time on the speed. The biggest influence for the
result is then reduced to the setting on a model and the pilot´s skills. Many
pilots have already proven that Precision can fly really fast. e.g. 2014 Jan
Kohout 1st place individual Belgium
Anthsness, best speed 12,56 s (best speed in Europe in the history of F3B
and best speed contest average 13,22)
New UMS 40 version together with previously demonstrated improvements of
slim fuselage and our precise
LDS system can help to be a step ahead and
closer to victory between close top pilots.
Material composition profits especially from the nature of fiber Tenax USM 40
(modulus 395 Gpa). Fabric woven of this fiber is used for inner layer of the
wing sandwich, for v-tail and also complete fuselage. The results is much less
twist. Pilots who has been flying with basic carbon 80 version will recognize
very quickly that he needs much less deflection to control a model made with UMS
40.

F3B version layup: TeXtreme ST76 + d-box ST76 + rohacel 51 IGF 1,2mm + UMS 40
40g/m2. LDS with 4x22g servos, fuselage servos 2 x 20g. RTF weight from 2000g
depending on CG and coloured design. That is a 33,72 g/m2 load with a large area
of 59,303 dm2. We can produce F3B model with lower wing loading, that will be
stiff enough for all conditions but can not reach the same stiffness.

F3F version layup: ST76+ D box ST76 + rohacell 51 IGF1,2 mm + ST76 /UMS 40
55g/m2 + stiffer fuselage. LDS with 4x 22 g servos, fuselage servos 2 x 20 g,
RTF weight from 2090g depending on CG and colour design
We have
produced several testmodels
of the UMS 40 version to prove
the performance of the model
before we went to series
production. Jürgen Pölzl,AUT
won the first
F3B Eurotour 2016 in Colmar,FRA
9.-10.4.2016 with UMS version.
Radovan Plch won Eurotour
RC-Network-Open F3F 2016 (FRA)20. - 22.05 2016. results at
