On the 2nd and 3rd of May the annual Bulgaria Cup F3J was held in Dupnitsa beneath the Rila Mountain Range in Bulgaria. The conditions were really challanging especially on Saturday. In intermediate winds with lots of gusts and in mostly turbulent air it became a real hustle to fly out the slots for most of the sixty competitors who came from Bulgaria, Turkey, Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Great Britain and the United States. The organization was run very clean by Sotir Lazarkov who set a very good standard. Thanks to all the officials and voluntary helpers on the field and behind the scenes!!!
In the end Philip Kolb (GER) flew his Pike perfect once more to a clear 103% win followed by Benedikt Feigl (GER) who managed to fly a 14:59 in a reflight round of the Flyoffs and Milivoj Hucaljuk (CRO) in 3rd position.
Murat Esibatir (TUR) managed to win the Balkan Cup event with his Pike perfect E.T. which really performs well in low lift conditions!
